On October 18th, TFN Economic Development Corporation hosted an open house to officially introduce their industrial lands project, Deltaport Logistics Centre.
Deltaport Logistics Centre is a major logistics hub that can accommodate over 4 million square feet of state-of-the-art intermodal, goods-handling, light manufacturing, warehousing and distribution services.
In attendance were nearly 50 brokers from Vancouver’s leading brokerage firms representing hundreds of clients in the logistics and warehousing sectors.
Attendees were treated to locally made foods and a traditional welcome by TFN Chief Bryce Williams. “We have consistently proven that Tsawwassen First Nation is the right place to live, work and invest and I am confident there are many greater things to come.” said Chief Williams. “I look forward to inviting more industry leaders to partner with our Nation and the Deltaport Logistics Centre.
Also speaking to guests was TFN Economic Development Corporation’s CEO, Chris Hartman:
“Independent studies have shown that tenants located in Deltaport Logistics Centre can realize a significant savings on shipping and container movement costs compared to tenants located in other Metro Vancouver major industrial parks.” said Hartman. “This makes Deltaport Logistics Centre an exceptional value as it is directly adjacent to the Robert’s Bank Superport, is zoned for industrial logistics users and conveniently located next to key transportation assets.”
Sitting on approximately 300 acres and located only 30 kilometres from downtown Vancouver and the U.S. border, the initial 90 acres (Phase 1) of the DLC has been leased to a number of high-quality tenants. Tsawwassen First Nation is now offering the remaining 200 acres (Phase 2) to the high demand, low availability industrial land marketplace.
They were also joined by local media, who featured the event on the evening news, which you can watch here:
